Re: What desktop should I run?

XFCE4 is definitely very fast (1,3s startup out of gdm)

Re: What desktop should I run?

XFCE rocks. The only complaints are that the desktop has no icon support (hope it has in 4.2 ;-)), and that I can't get used to xffm.

And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?

Re: What desktop should I run?

kakabaratruskia : you can use nautilus desktop to use with XFCE. It works very well ! You have also rox pinboard  :-)  "rox -p=pinboard"

dp : go on http://pekwm.org/ and try it out ! If you want, I can send you my .pekwmrc :-)

Thanks, but I've done both things, and I didn't get to like rox, and Nautilus (which I love), has to load lots of gnome libraries, which is why I don't like it, but I use it anyway. I would prefer that XFCE had it's own desktop with icon support, but it's not that I'm saying its impossible.
Thanks anyway.

I'm looking to pekwm, and looks promising.
