building a secured WebDAV server

Hi!
I'm looking for a nice howto (in english or german) that explains how to set up a WebDAV Server with SSL encryption for data transfer. I was looking in the wiki but it's only explained how to set up the webdav but not how to secure it with SSL.
I was checking various documents that I've found in the internet but it seems that nothing works. I cannot access the the server using webdavs:// and also it doesn't work to connect the shared folder through windows XP as a network folder (this is why I need the webdav service in the first place).

Can anyone help me with this or knows where I can find a good tutorial so I can set up my arch machine as a webdav server?
Thanks a lot!

Re: building a secured WebDAV server

I've been fiddling with this and WebDAV seems to be a rather annoying thing, especially with windows. But here are a couple of good resources I have found:

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/H … HOWTO.html
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/securi … server-ssl
http://cygon.nuclex.org/2006/09/26/windows-xp-compatible-webdav-in-apache

It's best to read them but also the Archwiki and make relevant changes (like setting the owner as nobody.nobody, and the httpd directories rather than apache or www...).
