Getting a URL

Is there a cheap and possibly free way to get a short refearl URL? Right now I have a dyndns.org account so I can link it to that, because I have a dynamic IP for my server. This is just a LAMP setup so nothing fancy. I really hate having a long URL sean-der.homelinux.org just doesn't sound appealing

Look around for cheap registrars. I think I've seen some as low as $8/year.
