[solved] How to get rdesktop to connect to virtualsites.umich.edu?

I tried did a google search for how to set up and use rdesktop in xfce and firefox, but I couldn't find anything that shows me exactly what to do. I have already installed rdesktop, but I don't know what to do next. I want to use rdesktop with this site: http://virtualsites.umich.edu/. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: This is the information from the file that I got from clicking connect on virtualsites.

screen mode id:i:1
startdisplay:i:0
desktop size id:i:2
desktopwidth:i:1024
desktopheight:i:768

preference flag id:i:2
disable wallpaper:i:1
disable full window drag:i:0

how do I use this info with rdesktop to connect? I tried typing:
rdesktop -u <username> -p <password> -g 1024X768 <ip address> but it just gets stuck and nothing happens.

What happens if you only 'rdesktop <ip-address>'? Are you greeted with a login screen? The only "problem" I've had is when I forgot to specify keyboard by '-k', and hence failing to login, or if username and/or password included spaces, thus forcing me to without '-u' and '-p' parameters to connect and then login as usual.

rdesktop works very well for me, and in some aspects even better than Microsoft's native one, and I'm mainly using XFCE (it shouldn't make any difference anyway, because rdesktop only need X to work properly). I don't know what Firefox has to do with it, besides being a tool for getting that file with data. Something special you're thinking of?

bascially nothing happens when I try just the ip address and when I specify the keyboard. If I can't get this working I might have to resort to wine...

The solution turned out to be extremely simple. Instead of just doing rdesktop <ip-address>, I should have done rdesktop <ip-address: port given by the rdp file>.

So in my case it's: "rdesktop 141.213.132.173:15600"

OK, I thought you already did that since they don't use the standard RDP one. Good to hear you got it working.
