Noone is gonna eat you... I see that you are new to the forums tho and wonder if you really know how important it is to have a user created... infact some things wont even work out of the box as root smile (try making a package from AUR)

Just curious, what do you think makes using the root account more appropriate for you... Because i cant find a single reason for it, not even lazyness...

Re: July 2008 Screenshots

archinvirtualboxsu7.th.jpg

I got Arch running in a VirtualBox with Windows XP. This is all on a 1.6Ghz system with 768 DDR RAM. I'm suprised on how stright forward everything is, every issue I had was due to something with VirtualBox like installing Guest Additions (I forgot to type mount /media/cdrom at some point and spent hours figuring it out). Then I had no sound, guess what VirtualBox sets sound off by default with the null setting, I spent at least 3 hours trying to break Arch figuring this out, it had nothing to do with arch. Anyways this was just a test run, I will be putting it on my system soon enough along with Ubuntu & Windows.

Also I can run perfect video playback with nearly no slowdowns in VirtualBox, I didn't think it was possible.

Running default, openbox & lxpanel with conky.

umm... i dont like to type sudo all the time..,lol,  i do have a normal account though. I have no important data to be lost.. and i can find my way arround the system, so i guess the real reason for me is why not?

The download link has a higher res.

And while I'm at it, does anybody know how I could encrypt the gmail.py so it can't be read by a person?
