[SOLVED] Installing remote desktop in wine?

I have been trying to get rdesktop to connect to virtualsites, but I wasn't able to. Look at my post here:

http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=51097

So now I installed wine and tried to install the remote desktop client with it, but I get this error:

Remote Desktop cannot be installed because your operating system already has a built in version. See all Programs\Accessories\Communications\Remote Desktop Connection on your start menu.

If I have a built in version I can't find it. I really need some way to connect to virtualsites.umich.edu. Thanks

Re: [SOLVED] Installing remote desktop in wine?

I would try to change the version of windows set in the wine configuration to Windows 2000 as XP and later are supposed to have Microsoft's Remote Desktop Client built-in per default.

I haven't lost my mind; I have a tape back-up somewhere.

Re: [SOLVED] Installing remote desktop in wine?

Thanks, your response sounds very reasonable and it'll probably work. However, I got rdesktop working so there's no need for wine now.
