Proxy Server Setup

Is there a way to set up my computer as a proxy server? Right now I have a basic httpd server and I use it to host files and so on.. But would it be possible to set it up so when I am at school I could use my home computer as a proxy eliminating the constant cat and mouse game of finding new ones.

Re: Proxy Server Setup

You could probably use privoxy, polipo or squid for proxing http, dante for socks and ssh tunnel for other things.

Re: Proxy Server Setup

I personally just use SSH Tunneling. See here: http://thinkhole.org/wp/2006/05/10/howt … ith-putty/

Throw a portable version of firefox and putty on a usb stick and your set.
