Should there be an initscript for xinetd to be started?

Re: Start xinetd

the extended Internet services daemon (xinetd) was developed originally by redhat? as a replacement for inetd
It can be used to bind to a specific interface, ip, can specify users, uses tcpwrappers (and listens to info in hosts.allow/deny).
some other stuff too i think..can think of them all...

for more info:
man xinetd
man 5 xinetd.conf

"tacos" -- Cactus' Law

Re: Start xinetd

You should have this file

pacman -Ql xinetd
xinetd /etc/
xinetd /etc/rc.d/
xinetd /etc/rc.d/xinetd
xinetd /etc/xinetd.conf
xinetd /etc/xinetd.d/
xinetd /etc/xinetd.d/servers
xinetd /etc/xinetd.d/services
xinetd /usr/
xinetd /usr/man/
xinetd /usr/man/man5/
xinetd /usr/man/man5/xinetd.conf.5.gz
xinetd /usr/man/man8/
xinetd /usr/man/man8/itox.8.gz
xinetd /usr/man/man8/xconv.pl.8.gz
xinetd /usr/man/man8/xinetd.8.gz
xinetd /usr/man/man8/xinetd.log.8.gz
xinetd /usr/sbin/
xinetd /usr/sbin/itox
xinetd /usr/sbin/xconv.pl
xinetd /usr/sbin/xinetd

If you don't maybe it's better to try first reinstalling xinted with pacman -Sf xinetd ?
