df -h differs from du -h

how come, that when i do df -h i get

Bestandssysteem Grtte Gebr Besch Geb% Aangekoppeld op
/dev/sdb6 14G 7,0G 7,1G 50% /
none 1,7G 0 1,7G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sdb5 183M 9,9M 164M 6% /boot
/dev/mapper/data-home
                      2,2T 1,1T 1,1T 50% /home

And du -h i get

2,2G /

So, why says df i have used 7.0 G and du 2.2G?

Re: df -h differs from du -h

I don't understand what du you're using but "du -h" gives me alot more than just the size of /, even when executed in /.  What command line options are you _really_ using?
