So upon installing Arch, my main problem was my network configuration.
I spent forever trying to get it working. But in the end i found a post that suggest typing "dhcpcd eth0" so it will pick up a dhcp connection.
So i checked ifconfig just after booting, when it wasn't working and here's what i get
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1D:60:54:A5:82
inet addr:192.168.1.2 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
inet6 addr: fe80::21d:60ff:fe54:a582/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:442 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:488 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:361983 (353.4 Kb) TX bytes:87108 (85.0 Kb)
Interrupt:22
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:280 (280.0 b) TX bytes:280 (280.0 b
And after typing "dhcpcd eth0" this is the result, when the connection actually works...
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1D:60:54:A5:82
inet addr:192.168.0.2 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:22
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:280 (280.0 b) TX bytes:280 (280.0 b)
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

hmm, this seems not exactly to be a problem, you just have to set up your network correctly in rc.conf. Look at the beginners guide in the wiki for how to do so.
this is the example for a dhcp network from the wiki:
HOSTNAME="arch"
#eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0="dhcp"
INTERFACES=(eth0)
gateway="default gw 192.168.0.1"
ROUTES=(!gateway)

Got it, for some reason the eth0="dhcp" wasn't there....working now, thanks
