Re: [solved] winrar?

xarchiver or file-roller, both are frontends for all the commandline tools like tar, unrar, zip, unzip, ect.

for mp3:
maybe mpd + sonata
or audacious ?

Re: [solved] winrar?

Hi

I forgot to mention NOT commandline, I can never rember all those switches and options.
@ finfurflu, by simple I mean something I can use without reading man pages etc.

Thanks all for your suggestions, I'll give them a trial.

Re: [solved] winrar?

WinRAR works perfectly under wine, and is better than any alternative, IMHO.

Re: [solved] winrar?

If you want to create a rar file, install rar-beta from AUR. I recommend xarchiver, the LXDE guys do as well and it works pretty nice here on LXDE smile No, I don't miss Ark from KDE tongue

Re: [solved] winrar?

I use Xarchiver because it's very simple and seems to be the most efficient/fast archiver manager. It's just a GTK front-end to the various zip, rar, gzip, etc, utilities.

Re: [solved] winrar?

The cool thing about xarchiver is, that it shows you the command that's being used, so you get used to them and maybe one day you won't need the frontend anymore wink
