help blacklist doesnt work about the ath5k

the problem is i cant get my Atheros work . i have installed madwifi and

blacklisted ath5k in the /etc/rc.conf . but i reboot my system , the ath5k is still

loaded and make my ath0 wont work ~~

why the blacklist doesnt work ? is ath5k related to the initrd.img?

i created ath0 interfere by adding

rmmod ath5k
madwifi-unload
modprobe ath_pci

but i wonder that why the blacklist doesnt work ?
it really looks strange.

same behaviour here, but installed madwifi-svn from AUR.

where did you add the three lines exactly?

I have the same problem the module loads with the ! modifier.

In fact, and this is wierd, if you remove all the ath modules from the startup it still trys to load ath5k.

Scratch that, I think it may be related to both you and I using the virtualBox module

I got it, my problem was that i was loading the net hook in my /etc/mkinitcpio.conf file. remove this hook and rebuild your kernel

does that really work ??

now the vbox cant let the kernel updated~
