This should do it:

own_window no

or if you want it to keep drawing its own window, change the window type to override:

own_window_type override

no!it makes problem with xcompmgr!

Do you mean it created a different problem?


This didn't work?  This was what I used when I ran fluxbox+conky+xcompmgr.  It worked fine for me, but I was using different versions, drivers, etc..

own_window yes
own_window_type override

own_window_type desktop

That did it, thanks!
If I could disable the shadow on Terminator as well, it would be a relief. Now I have to minimize it, then restore again....to stop the shadows from being painted all over my desktop when moving the window.
Strange...

Maybe turning off all shadows in xcompmgr would be best.
