pptp vpn autoconfigure

I am setting up a pptp client according to http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mic … pptpclient. It works fine, but I do not want to set up the routing everytime. I was wondering if anybody has a slick or easy way of automating the routing after starting the connection. I looked at Routing help at the pptpconfig site, but seemed to distribution specific. I thought the awesome community here would have some good suggestions. thanks
