What's the font from the screenshot?

Umm, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. Anyone know the font name from the screenshot? Thanks!

I think the font is called Terminus, from the 'terminus-font' package. Hope this helps!

Hmmm that font does look very nice. I'm wondering which one it is myself, actually. Obviously, it's not terminus.

Hmmm that font does look very nice. I'm wondering which one it is myself, actually. Obviously, it's not terminus.

Found it - "Proggytiny".
But I can't install it //// Help?

What do you mean you can't install it ?
Just put the .ttf files in /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc and restart X

It's just "UGLY"!

$ cat .Xdefaults
URxvt.font: xft:proggytiny:pixelsize=12

[edit]
ProggyTinySZ.ttf is in ~/.fonts and /usr/share/fonts/local

Have you tried using it in a different terminal emulator ?
I remember something about urxvt leaving too much space between characters...

no, i haven't
will try xterm. i like the urxvt's "semi-transparency"

Don't leave urxvt, its is good term...

(if that matter vte, the terminal that gnome-terminal is based use xoff too and not width)

Are you referring to the bold text?  You can override it with this:

urxvt.boldFont: xft:proggytiny:pixelsize=12
