problem with samba since update

well, im not 100% sure, but im pretty sure this is a result of the last update

basically, i can't seem to browse samba shares anymore, sort of, its half and half.

i first noticed the problem last friday ish or so when i went to show a friend something from my xbox running xbmc, and realized i could not access the smb share, which happens sometimes, i usually have to renew the ip on my desktop and restart the samba deamon. but it didn't work this time. i had to go out for the rest of the weekend, just got home not long ago, figured id toy around, and im getting no where

now im noticing that i cant browse my work group at all from my desktop running the service, or my xbox. but my brother says he can access everything fine from his machine, thats running windows.

i don't know, seems wierd to me, and i dont know what to do

Re: problem with samba since update

ok, i got it back to a working state, sort of, im really just back where i started.

i can browse the samba shares on my desktop from another windows PC

i can't browse the samba shares on my desktop, from my desktop, if i try to brwose smb through dolphin, i can see the workgroup, i can see the pc's, if if i browse to my pc from itself, i can't see the shares, and at the bottom of the windows it says something about the path doesnt exist

then if i try to browse from my xbox through xbmc, i can't even see teh workgroup, says it doesnt exist

its retarded, this makes no sense at all
