Forum; "Mark all topics as read"

If I ask really nicely, could "Show new posts since last visit" be moved away from "Mark all topics as read" or vice-versa? Please? big_smile

Edit: OK, lots of people use it... Can a bit of extra space be added between the 2 links anyway? smile

(My mouse control isn't what it used to be apparently....)

I use it, after going through "Show new posts".

Me too, SamC.

Here's a tip: bookmark http://bbs.archlinux.org/search.php?action=show_new instead of the index.

My browsing pattern:
1. "Show Your Posts" - see if anyone has replied to threads I've previously posted in
2. "Show New Post" - read all new posts

I could bookmark them, but it's a pain to sync bookmarks across Work PC, Work Laptop, Home Desktop and Home Laptop... Maybe I'm just being lazy. But hell, if I don't ask, I don't stand any chance of getting it moved smile

Even an extra <br> between them, or move them to one line and separate with ' - ' would help...

Yep, I use it too, on each and every visit here, right after going through the "show new posts" list, like SamC.

Or...  you could aim for the "Show ne" part which overhangs the mark all read part.

I can't believe so many people are using it!  Maybe I'm missing something useful... What's the point / benefit / gain? I don't see it hmm

(I'm not shit stirring, I'm hoping maybe there is some reason I haven't seen and maybe I can stop hating it a little less smile)

I use it constantly...so much so that I know when I'm near the top of the page, it's always hint #13 in vimperator. I use it with Show New so I can cherry pick only the messages I want to read and then quickly mark all the rest as read.  This way I'm not rifling through posts I've already weeded out.

But once you've read the ones you want to, don't you leave the site? By the time you come back, a new session will have started.

I rarely have messages automatically cleared during the day...  though I probably spend too much time here!

I use it too...
