Laptop work with Arch?

I was wondering if this laptop would be able to run Arch but I don't want to install it and find out it won't work properly.
Here is everything I think would matter when installing an OS, but it is a HP dv2815nr

AMD 64x2 2.0ghz
3GB DDR2 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M
Built in Webcam
Altec Lansing audio

Re: Laptop work with Arch?

I've just bought a HP DV7, and I'd be guessing everything should work fine

AMD 64x2 2.0ghz -- Choose 32-bit or 64-bit kernel
3GB DDR2 RAM -- Will work with either kernel, without PAE / HIGHMEM.
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M -- Nvidia Drivers are ace.
Built in Webcam -- Just appears as a USB device. Works for me.
Altec Lansing audio -- This is the one I'm not sure about. I have Intel HDA in mine, and it's being a pain in the a$$. To the point that I'm waiting until 2.6.28 kernel to see if that will work better.

EDIT: Best way to check regarding the audio card... Boot the LiveCD, and do 'lspci | grep Audio' and then Google for whatever that returns to see other people's experiences...

EDIT 2: I see this is your first post. Welcome aboard smile

Re: Laptop work with Arch?

Thanks for the info, I've used ubuntu a little before and tried arch on an old desktop of mine and I love it. Arch is just so flexible and configurable and I enjoy being able to choose what I want and don't want.
