Drivers installed, ping fails

Hello,

I installed my wireless drivers using ndiswrapper.

"iwlist scanning"  brings up wireless networks.

i used the commmand "ifconfig wlan0 up"

said connection also shows up under ifconfig.

I attempt to connect to my wireless network using the following command:

iwconfig wlan0 essid "dlink"

- it shows no errors, and the wireless network is open.

However, i am unable to ping google, and use packman to install additional packages.  Help?

-it cant be the connection itself because im on it using a laptop now and its fine.

Re: Drivers installed, ping fails

Are you setting ip/gateway/nameserver(s) anywhere?

Re: Drivers installed, ping fails

no? what am I supposed to be doing?  I assumed that was being done dynamically, due to the fact this is a wireless connection with a wireless router.  (dhcdbd?)

Looking under 192.168.0.1 on this laptop i am seeing:

LAN:
MAC Address :        00:1b:11:4f:4e:e1
IP Address :       192.168.0.1
Subnt Mask :       255.255.255.0
DHCP Server :       Enabled

WAN:
MAC Address :        00:1b:11:4f:4e:e2
Connection :       DHCP Client Connected  (DHCP Release) (DHCP Renew)
IP Address :       (Ip address here)
Subnt Mask :       255.255.248.0
Default Gateway :       24.152.240.1
DNS :       204.186.0.201,207.44.96.129

I dont know what to do in terms of configuring this?
