Autowifi Operation not supported?

Hey all,

I've got a TrendNet TEW-421pc pcmcia wireless card that Arch picked up as a rtl8180 module.  I can scan networks and everything, but I can't get on to a network...so I thought I'd try Autowifi.  My network is REALLY simple...completely open and it's nearly impossible to misspell the essid.  When I got Autowifi configured I ended up with these errors:

ioctl[SIOCSIWAUTH]: Operation not supported
WEXT auth param 4 value 0x0 --

Any ideas what that means and how to fix it?

I've also tried the typical:

ifconfig wlan0 up
iwconfig wlan0 essid "NETWORKNAME"
dhcpcd wlan0

and it gives me:

err, wlan0: timed out
warn, wlan0: using IPV4LL address 169.254.139.23

Re: Autowifi Operation not supported?

I had another wireless card laying around that I stuck into the computer and it recognized it and started working.  If you want, I'll keep working with the first card just so the problem can be solved...but it'll be a few days before I can get to it.  Thanks for the responses.
