[SOLVED] install CD has borked display

I'm using the Arch FTP install CD (2008.06, I believe), and when I boot it up, the characters display too wide for my screen, causing the menu interface to get all messed up. When it goes into the GRUB screen, everything is fine, but when the kernel loads, the characters are very wide and it can only display about 40 in a row instead of 80. Then, when I login as root and type /arch/setup, the setup interface wraps around at inappropriate places and ends up flowing off the screen, so I can only see about half of the menu. I found a bug report for something that sounded similar to this at http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11903?dev=162. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a workaround?

My video card is quite old (NV04/NVidia Riva TNT2), if that's relevant.

EDIT: In case anyone cares, I found the solution in this thread. Basically, I had to run 'modprobe rivafb'. Thanks guys!
