RTL8187 Problem

I'm trying to get my RTL8187 dongle to work, on my other box with suse 11.1 it works right away no problems there,
now trying to get it to work on Arch i'm encountering some problems, i've read the forums and wiki but still no solution.

First off the driver doesnt get automaticly installed so i added it to rc.conf
dmesg shows it works allright

rtl8187: 8187B chip detected. Support is EXPERIMENTAL, and could damage your hardware, use at your own risk
phy1: selected rate control algorithm 'pid'
phy1: hwaddt 00:0c:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, RTL8187BvE v0 + rtl8225z2
usbcore: registered new interface driver rtl8187

the problem now is that it doesn't create the wlan interface.
ifconfig still only shows lo

anyone know hot to get it to create the wlan0 interface?
