I recently updated my system and i distinctly remember that a new kernel was also installed.
After everything was updated, I rebooted my system and everything worked fine. However since then, every time I reboot it gets stuck at
Starting UDev Daemon [DONE]
Loading Modules [DONE]
Loading standard ACPI modules [DONE]
Loading UDev uevents [BUSY]_
and does not do anything after that. I have let it sit all night once. The same thing happens when I choose the Fallback kernel. I was just wondering, I didn't see any issues on the feeds before updating. I haven't seen threads as well, so it looks pretty isolated.
Can someone help me out here
Thanks

Thanks, but how do I change the etc/rc.conf to blacklist the module?
I cannot even log in to the system. Could you please explain?

You can edit it from a live cd such as an Arch ISO releases or any other live distro.

boot with a livecd/usbstick, mount root, edit rc.conf, reboot.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Today I see an update for yet another version of the kernel. but I think I will wait a while and make sure this new one doesnt have any issues and update later.
