Hi,
I've been working on my wireless connection for the past night and I still can't get it to work.
Here's what I get when I lspci | grep -i net it:
Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN ... (rev 61)
Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E PCI Express.. (rev 01)
After, I did a hwdetect --show-net and I get:
NET: r8169 mac80211 iwl4965 cfg80211
And then, I did what I had to do (it worked before I reformated my PC):
[root@evinux ~]# ifconfig wlan0 up
[root@evinux ~]# iwconfig wlan0 essid "default" key off
[root@evinux ~]# dhcpcd wlan0
[root@evinux ~]# ping -c 3 www.google.com
.... and after 10 secs ...
ping: unknown host www.google.com
Strange thing: I can't get me eth0 to work either, so I can't install the latest drivers... I know there's a way to fix this problem because I already faced it once, but I don't remember what I did to fix. Actually, I think I did the exact samething this time, but it's not working.
I have installed wireless-tools and iwl4965-ucode during the installation of Arch Linux.
Thanks a lot.

There is no iwl4965 module anymore. Not in 2.6.28, maybe it was there in 2.6.27 (never ran it). 2.6.26 still had iwl4965.
The main module is now called iwlcore.
