New kernel from pacman and Nvidia driver question

Hi,
Pacman updated my kernel today, but I didn't see it download a new kernel module for the Nvidia driver.
do I have to do anything with that or is it safe to reboot?

Re: New kernel from pacman and Nvidia driver question

yes. the nvidia packages doesn't need to be recompiled for the each kernel release. only when are major updates like from 2.6.27 to 2.6.28

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

the kernel and the nvidia are two different packages...when a kernel gets updated, the nvidia doesn't have to fo rminor releases

Re: New kernel from pacman and Nvidia driver question

ah, I was just wondering because on Kubuntu when a minor update to the kernel happens, you have to recompile the Nvidia kernel driver (if you used the one from the nvidia site)

Thanks,
