failed to connect to ad hoc network via NetworkManager

Hi guys,

I am sure my wireless card works fine, because I can connect to wireless router correctly which provides DHCP service and connect to Internet. However I encountered a problem when trying to connect to ad hoc network via networkmanager.

In my dormintory, there are other 3 laptops running WinXP and one of them set up an adhoc network need static IP and don't need security authentication. In networkmangager, I can see this network automatically and signal level is good. However, when I choose this network it cannot connect to this, because in default it would try DHCP. So then I choose "Edit Connections" to use static IP, after setting I can connect to it, but signal level become 0%. Was I wrong with some steps?

By the way, I really appreciate the new networkmanager upgrade, It's powerful and convenient!
