[SOLVED] Error: boo.lang exists in filesystem

I tried running a system update with pacman -Syu.

Grabs all the packages successfully, then shows this at the end:

error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
boo: /usr/share/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs/boo.lang exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

If anyone could give me advice as to what to do, I'd be grateful.

The only forum thread I can find similar to this issues is this one, but isn't quite my issue (I don't think).

Thanks.

The solution is a sticky thread.

Re: [SOLVED] Error: boo.lang exists in filesystem

Thanks for this.

I had searched around, but found nothing (perhaps searching for the wrong line).

However, I'm surprised that this issue with pacman is in a sticky thread in the newbie forum, not the pacman forum.

Anyway, I checked the ownership, removed the file, ran the upgrade, and all is ok. Thanks.

Good that it works for you. Can you please mark your thread as Solved. Edit the first post and change the title. Add [SOLVED] at the beginning
