The Xlib: extension "generic...." - warning has bugged me but I've lived with it thus far. Apparently it can cause a bit of a problem though.
Every time I try to run wacomcpl I get this error:
wacomcpl: using TCLLIBPATH="[list /usr/lib ]"
Error in startup script: Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
while executing
"exec xsetwacom list"
(procedure "createDeviceList" line 4)
invoked from within
"createDeviceList "
(procedure "createControls" line 8)
invoked from within
"createControls"
(file "/usr/bin/wacomcpl-exec" line 1860)
zsh: exit 1 wacomcpl
It actually looks like wacomcpl is catching the warning and passing it on as if it were an error, not letting me get through to the actual program. How do I get around this?
