INSANELY slow wireless connection.

Fresh install of Arch (it's my first linux too, so please don't expect my complete understaing of whatever it is that You wrote).

So anyway, my network connection on my windows was awesome, I got 1.2MB/s when from good mirrors, however when I configured my network on Arch something felt wrong... Everything that I got from pacman was maximum 30kb/s, with rankmirrors. So I got conky to display my traffic, it NEVER goes above 30kb/s, no matter what on earth am I doing.

What could this be? I have my wlan0 configured to connect to my network.

Re: INSANELY slow wireless connection.

I think I figured it out, I set iwconfig rate to 54 MB, and it seems to work fine now.

Re: INSANELY slow wireless connection.

Hm, that did the trick, but I have to redo this command everytime I boot up, is there a way so that this would do itself automatically ?

Re: INSANELY slow wireless connection.

add the command to /etc/rc.local

su -c 'nano /etc/rc.local'

And then add your command!

Meh has new account! This one left behind for history's sake...
