I'm trying to install it using easy-e17.sh i added the repo in my pacman.conf, running pacman -Sy is fine, it says that rfad is up to date. however, when i go pacman -S easy-e17 it says the package cannot be found

Yes, the package is not avaiable. The PKGBUILD is broken and it will be updated as soon as it is fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I uploaded the version, with edited PKGBUILD (took out xserver-xorg dependency, wth is that ) and it says it is corrupted. If you want, give it a go, but I am not too hopeful.

Lol, I don't use easy-e17, I just have it in my repo, it was requested, by the maintainer.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't people just doing 'pacman -S e17-svn e17-extra-svn'? Does easy-e17 bring anything to the table for most users?

I think easy-e17 is just a script that asks you a bunch of questions and gets the same thing. A little interactive that's all. Correct me if I am wrong.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !
