Re: eee 900 wifi problem

Try adding 'rfkill-input' to your modules in rc.conf.  You should be able to enable wifi with fn-f2 then.

Do your other function keys work?
What is the problem with the wifi led?

Re: eee 900 wifi problem

I have the same problem with /proc/acpi/eee/*, it seems that it was removed from new kernels...
I don't know if the wifi chip is always active or not, but it is working fine. I use netcfg for network profiles, and no problem with wpa.
Anyone knows how to remove the blue led for the wireless indicator?

Re: eee 900 wifi problem

Well with kernel 2.6.28.7 on the 1000HE there is /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state which controls the wifi. I'm not sure if that is the case with the 900.

No problem, you're lucky it shut downs you LED, mine turns of the radio, but the LED stays on. I suppose that is minor though.
