rest of fn + keys work fine
knetworkmanager doesn't find my wifi
and with wicd i can't connect to any secured network //
bash-3.2# /etc/acpi/wlan.sh
cat: /proc/acpi/asus/wlan: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu
cat: /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/wlan: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu
which pakages to use???
any ideas???
thnx,

Try adding 'rfkill-input' to your modules in rc.conf. You should be able to enable wifi with fn-f2 then.

Ok, now i can only turn on/off wifi but not with fn keys because there is a problem with wifi led

cat: /proc/acpi/asus/wlan: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu
cat: /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/wlan: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu
Any ideas???

I don't know how, but all fn keys now work
Only problem i didn't solve in my eee900 is no tap in my touchpad and i cannot connect to any secured wireless network with wicd
Someone did it?
Any ideas?

I have the same problem with /proc/acpi/eee/*, it seems that it was removed from new kernels...
I don't know if the wifi chip is always active or not, but it is working fine. I use netcfg for network profiles, and no problem with wpa.
Anyone knows how to remove the blue led for the wireless indicator?

Oh yeah echoing 0 to that file shuts down the blue led of wireless. Great! Thanks a lot pyther!
