Hi! Is there anybody useing pptp vpn connections? I've found that I can't set them up in network-manager (gnome applet), because there is no network-manager-pptp plugin in ArchLinux repo. And I found, it is use only in Debian & Ubuntu. But it's really cool if you use pptp-connections, because vpnc doesn't work with some VPN servers. So I've tried to find source and compile it. But:
1) It's hard to find source tarball. Launchpad.net seems to serve svn for pptp-plugin, but it didn't work (svn didn't connect properly). So I've downloaded tarball from some strange site... like softpedia.
2) Sources that I found doesn't seem to affect networkmanager. PPTP option didn't appear after I've nstalled pptpplugin from source. It installed properly, I suppose. New libraries appeared in /usr/lib/NetworkManager/ (as vpnc's did). But still no PPTP option in metworkmanager, only vpnc...
May be someone know how to install this plugin?

I'm not making a vpn-connection with a networkmanager but I managed to set it up following this wiki:
After I got everything working I wrote three different scripts. One to open a connection, one to start a RDP session and one to close the connection. I made some menu items to start the different scripts and it is working ok for me.

Hi,
I have networkmanager-pptp plugin... I build NM and all related stuff (including wpa_supplicant) by myself from borrowed and customized packages from aur... I use only svn versions, latest build was pre-0.7.1 couple of days ago
I can't tell is it working because i don't have any pptp servers to try it on right now, but I can tell you - it builds fine, previously I have used it and it kinda worked...
regards

I'm connecting via bash script to... And it works) But it would be cool to connect through NM. I've tried pre-0.7.1 too. May be I should try to install NM from source too. Thanks for reply!)

networkmanager-openvpn 0.7.0-1
networkmanager-pptp-0.7 0.7.0-1
networkmanager-vpnc 0.7.0-2
3 vpn options sir all available in AUR
Perhaps we should suggest these to be added to the repositories?
