Hey, I'm not so sure that this is 100% a relative section for this question, but it seemed like the closest.

I've followed the directions over at djbdnsrocks.org on how to install tinydns, and its up and running. I just omitted installing the php admin panel, because i dont want to run a webserver on this box. I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction of a tutorial on how to actually create, manage and update the zones from ssh, because I'm completley clueless about it.

I personally prefer BIND for the DNS service. It's the defacto standard, it became more secure over time (it can also be run as a normal user and even in a chroot jail) and has loads of documentation online. it's funny i get mixed answers. but then again thats with anything in the linux world =] anyhow thanks for the input, but i'd still like some info if anyone has it about using djbdns
