Help configuring wireless

Hello

I have a Asus m70 laptop with a this wireless device "Intel Corporation Wireless WiFi Link 5100" and i cant get it to conect, he scans and see the acess point just doesnt conect, this device is suported with kernel > 2.6.27 and needs iwl-5000-ucode firmewire wich is installed. My english is not very good so i will post some commands

my profile named casa

and i get this error conecting

or sometimes this one

Network could not connect ! ExitCode =  1
Reason :  - Wireless association failed.   [FAIL]

i alredy tried wifi-radar, networkmanager, and archassistant(my favorite) none of those can connect, but as i sayd i can scan the wireless acess point just cant conect

i realy need help this is driving me insane for 1 week, ppl at archlinux brazil forum couldnt help me.

You can try wicd. It's the popular choice for wifi currently.

Also try setting the BSSID (Mac address) of the router instead of a ESSID, and verify that there is no mac filtering.
