openbox from inittab

Hi All,
just installed openbox on my laptop and have dropped the login manager.
at the moment i have the following command in my inittab
su -l matthew -c startx

however this doesn't set up the profiles needed for things like firefox plugins
does anyone know a better way for me todo this?

Regards
Matthew

Re: openbox from inittab

are you using exec openbox in .xinitrc or exec openbox-session?

The latter would be the one to use and i think it will also make use of the autostart.sh file, if you have one under ~/.config/openbox

Re: openbox from inittab

ahh you might be on to something there i'll look at the default autostart.sh as i made my own.
the only thing i have tried is logging in via the console and launching X that way and the profiles where set up.
