Pacman Not install gnome or openbox

Tried updating after  afresh install appeared to go ok. But after trying to install gnome . I get an error saying unexpected error no packages installed. I tried pacman -Syu again and same thing, tried pacman -S gnome same thing. Somehow now i have issue's with pacman. Help appreciated. Thanks smile

Check your pacman.conf and mirrorlist to make sure that you haev the mirrors listed correctly.

Also post the exact error here, so we can have a look.

quick command to see that you have mirrors uncommented:

grep -v ^# /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

should return something other than blanks.

tongue , figured it out already. And you were right. my mirros were all commented out in the file for some reason after upgrading. Thanks.
