Hello Forum,
my wlan0 on my centrino laptop does not work. I installed everything fine (as in the wiki) but when I try to connect through network-manager it simply "fails" to connect.
here is the log:

Any ideas why it does not work?

Do you have any other networkmanagers installed, perhaps from AUR?

I hate to state the obvious but, have you checked the wireless switch on the laptop? (assuming there is one)
I made this mistake the other day. I couldn't work out why I couldn't connect to my router. I tried everything. The logs were saying wlan0 timed out. I thought it was a driver problem but no, the switch was just turned off lol

If that were the case networkmanager would say "wireless is disabled", and wouldn't even try to connect.

The wlan is activated of course I can see my ssid and connect to it, but it simply fails.
Maybee i have installed net nm-network-manager from aur for kde, I'm not quite sure right know, would this be a problem? The card worked perfectly on my older installation and on ubuntu 8 up to 9.04. I have absolutly no idea wh it dies.
It is really anoying, atm i have a 20 meter cat5 cable lying at home and my flatmate stumbled over it a dozen times already...

Alright, wicd is working like a charm. Seems that the kde network manager is still too buggy. Nevermind though, it's working know. Thanks!
