libdownload?

I was browsing the package listing and noticed that Pacman uses "libdownload". I notice it was forked off of libfetch which brings me to my question.

What advantages does libdownload have over libcurl? If none, wouldn't it be easier to just use libcurl as it wouldn't have to be an "in house" developed tool.

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

If you've ever used libcurl, you would never ask this question. libcurl is huge (way more than we will ever need) and has a terrible API

Re: libdownload?

I suppose a more clean API can be considered a feature. tongue I hadn't realized so many people disliked the libcurl API, it's a jack of all trades (master of some?).
