Editing Subjects when Solved

I've noticed a few times recently that people are marking their topics as [SOLVED] which is good, but at the same time they are completely changing the original subject to something that doesn't describe the problem anymore.

This makes is difficult for future users who may have the same problem and are doing the right thing by searching, but then can't find your thread because the subject has been completely changed.

In short: please leave the original subject when marking posts as [SOLVED] unless you're going to make it more accurate.

EDIT: speeling tongue

Re: Editing Subjects when Solved

Perhaps this should be added to the "Please mark posts... " thread.

archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

Re: Editing Subjects when Solved

Is there a cure for OT, topic hijacking and the like? I feel very susceptible to those and guilty as charged.
