Planning to buy a new Webcam

I need to get a webcam. I had a look at the wiki link.

Can someone tell me which webcam to get. Is linux-uvc supposedly better than the rest?

I primarily use the webcam with Skype. The wiki says, uvc does not support V4L1 and AFAIK Skype still uses V4L1(correct?)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

this one works, picture quality could be  better though, example:

Thanks Magnu5. Is this a linux-uvc cam? And you are right. The quality leaves a lot to be desired. I will see if there are others available and decide

Yes, it is an uvc.

I use a Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks and the picture quality is great.
