Problems with "3Com OfficeConnect 11g PC Card"

Hello! I can't enable my 3Com OfficeConnect 11g PC Card (product id: 3CRWE154G72 version 2.0). I have followed the guide at archwiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup) but when I try to bring the interface up I get this error:

ifconfig eth2 up
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Operation not permitted

I have installed the drivers (Prism54) and it seems to be correctly loaded (when I do dmesg it says that the driver is loaded and it's loaded when I check it with lsmod).

I appreciate some help. Thanks!

run that command as root
