mirrors for own repo

Hi.

I'am hosting my own repo with the most voted aur packages but it seems to me the 512GB per year traffic limit is not enough. Does anybody know where I can get free mirrors like the arch mirrors?
I can upgrade to 1500GB but I don't know if this will be enough with increasing popularity...

Thanks, Andreas

Re: mirrors for own repo

I have 600gb a month that I'm barely using, but disk space is somewhat limited, so how big is your repo on-disk?

Unlimited traffic here, but little disk space. How big is your repo?

Re: mirrors for own repo

Last time I asked about bandwidth usage on a published archlinux mirror, one of the people said it was about 6,000 gb month worth of traffic they were recieving.  Hence why I decided NOT to go public with my own private mirror.... my pockets weren't deep enough to cover the bandwidth charges.   That was for the 3 main repos, core, extra, and community.  Not sure if those stats are still accurate, that was a couple years ago, more mirrors now, and more users. Would be interested to hear from anyone running a public mirror what the bandwidth usage is like now.

My repos (any, i686 and x86_64) use less than 150mb/month at the moment, but I only have a dozen or so various packages from the AUR in there.

Re: mirrors for own repo

Ohh, I'am totaly stunned that so many people are willing to share there bandwith. Thanks to everybody...
But it seems to me that I have to blind, more or less. Today I looked again at my hosting contract and there is really written 512GB - and two words I've never seen before at this place "per month".
I think thats some kind of psychological terroring myself...

But again thanks to your offers. Maybe I'll have to come back to this sometimes...

BTW:
If you are interested, my repo is at: http://archstuff.vs169092.vserver.de/
