[SOLVED] Kile broken after update - changes are not being compiled

Hi,

I just noticed kile stopped properly compiling documents. I did a couple of updates before I went into holidays two weeks back and now I notice that on compiling my .tex files no new pdf is written. I tried severeal documents that compiled nicely before and i followed this guide to reinstall kile.

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kile_and_TeXLive

I installed the normal version, not the svn-version.
Kile seems to compile, but no new pdf is written and changes to the document are not being processed. I.e. I comment out a line that caused a warning but the warning remains on compiling.
I also did a pacman -Syu but to no effect. Any body else experinces this? Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thx
