Keymap hook doesn't work

Hi,

I want to change the font of my console to ter-v24b, which works just fine using the rc.conf.

However this just changes the font after entering runleven 3 (when the rc.conf is executed). But I also want to change it during the boot-up. According to the wiki I have to add "keymap" to the list of hooks and re-generate the kernel images. But this doesn't change anything sad, the font doesn't get changed until runlevel 3 sad.

So, how do I change the font before reaching runlevel 3?

Best regards

Re: Keymap hook doesn't work

I just started looking into this and found your post. I found an earlier forum thread about this, here.  The thread starts with just changing the font in the virtual consoles called from X, but then addresses the fonts used at boot-up.

It doesn't make a solution clear to me (I have to re-read the mkinitcpio article a few more times) but it may help you.
