no nm-applet

hi i've a problem with Xfce4 and Network Manager because when i start xfce i can't see the NM icon in the system tray but under gnome it works fine, if i try to tun nm-applet from a shell i get this error:

[marco@tokenet ~]$ nm-applet --sm-disable

** (nm-applet:1542): WARNING **: <WARN>  applet_dbus_manager_start_service(): Could not acquire the NetworkManagerUserSettings service.
  Message: 'Connection ":1.29" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerUserSettings" due to security policies in the configuration file'

can anyone tell me how can i fix this strange problem? Thanks, Marco

Re: no nm-applet

it's a dbus security problem

( i in openbox ) i fix it by adding permession to

/etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-*.conf

files

eg: if you open

/etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-applet.conf

you duplicate the "root" part but changing "root" to "il tuo username"
