Hi! I'm new to Arch and I like it
That's my problem: the CPU temp is about 70°C, twenty degrees more than when I'm using Ubuntu.
I'm using a Dell laptop (Studio15). The cpu is an Intel Core2 Duo T5800. I also installed powernowd (and it's working).

powernowd
works because is the AMD cpu's module .....
because you have a INTEL you must load right module

you can configure other things ever in this wiki page to reduce temp

POWERNOW is a technology of AMD
and SPEEDSTEP is INTEL
