higher cpu temp

Hi! I'm new to Arch and I like it smile
That's my problem: the CPU temp is about 70°C, twenty degrees more than when I'm using Ubuntu.
I'm using a Dell laptop (Studio15). The cpu is an Intel Core2 Duo T5800. I also installed powernowd (and it's working).

thanks in advance wink
byye!!

Re: higher cpu temp

is impossible that

powernowd

works because is the AMD cpu's module .....

because you have a INTEL you must load right module

you can see the name in OUR WIKI PAGE:  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CPU … cy_Scaling

you can configure other things ever in this wiki page to reduce temp

Re: higher cpu temp

Maybe you haven't read this wiki page http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Powernowd...
However, I'll try cpufreq.
