Virtualization, OpenVz, 3d?

Hey Guys/Gals/???,

I'm going to be rebuilding my home server soonish and one of the new functions it's going to have to take over is the role of media center.

Basically, I was thinking of following the same logic I'm currently using which is a stripped headless host running a bunch of VMs ( router / vpn, external webserver, internal fileserver ) and adding another VM for the media centre ( and now plugging server to tv ).

Currently, I'm doing this with Xen but, since hosts on the server will only ever be linux, I've also been looking at playing around with OpenVz or V-server.

That being said .. Is this something that would be possible with OpenVz and it's containers ?

Any comments / feedbacks / criticism much appreciated,
- Jon

OpenVZ or V-Server might work for this.

You may find LXC to be a decent option as well, especially if you plan to access the hardware in depth. (Say, to run X).
