Stack protecion under Arch ?

I found an article on the Internet here about stack protection testing,
and found that Arch lack that feature.  I would like to know how easy
or difficult stack protection can be added to Arch Linux, and if it's a
good thing to have it, or a waste of time (IMHO a good thing).
